The Inn at Little Pond Farm Cooking Classes - Valle Crucis, NC

THE KITCHEN AT LITTLE POND FARM – Mixing food, fun and the cheerful table.

Cooking Classes: Hands on Culinary and Dining Experience

The Kitchen at Little Pond Farm was inspired by the owner’s childhood memories of waking to the aromas of muffins baking, sauce simmering in immense pots, and the sight of fresh pasta, turned out by grandmother’s hand, drying over chair backs; by recollections of planting seeds with grandfather for a kitchen garden; of picking the vegetables and fruit that rewarded these efforts; and of cutting flowers each day for the family table. The life that they shared centered around the stovetop, and those rich culinary traditions became inspiration for all that they do at Little Pond Farm.

Capturing these magical sensory memories, the inn’s Farm Kitchen program reflects the desire to nurture and nourish friends and family gathered around the cheerful table.

A guest list of accomplished chefs, cookbook authors and wine experts host classes that will add to your knowledge of simple, fresh and seasonal cooking.

Please join The Kitchen at Little Pond Farm to further shape your love of good food and wine.

Over Yonder tells the story of historic Appalachian cuisine from Chef Andy Long.

Over Yonder opened in June 2014 in the former homestead of the Taylor Family, one of the founding families of Valle Crucis.  Our mission is to interpret classic Appalachian food in a modern yet casual way, and we do this by sourcing the best products we can and then doing our best not to screw it up.  Everything is scratch-prepared, or as we like to call it, “done the hard and stupid way”, and we believe if you give it a try you will taste the difference.
